Terms of Service

Effective: 21 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Invoice My Job mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By signing in to the app or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who we are

Invoice My Job is operated by IDEATOWEB LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 94292813), Unit 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds IP28 7DE, United Kingdom.

IDEATOWEB LTD is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller, reference ZC130233.

2. The Service

Invoice My Job is an invoicing and job-logging app designed for self-employed tradespeople in the United Kingdom. It lets you record jobs, generate PDF invoices, and send them to your clients.

The Service is provided "as is". We make every effort to keep it working reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.

What we are not: Invoice My Job is not an accounting service, a tax advisor, or a regulated financial service. We provide a tool. The accuracy of any invoice, tax submission, or financial record remains your responsibility.

3. Your account

Sign-in is passwordless: we email a 6-digit code to your address that you enter to access the app. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. We will treat anyone who can receive your sign-in code as authorised to access your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and operating a UK business to use the Service.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up to date.

4. Subscriptions

The Service offers a Free plan with limited features and a Pro plan with full access.

5. Free trial

Where offered, the 7-day free trial is available only to first-time subscribers. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, your card will be charged automatically at the end of the trial and the subscription will then auto-renew monthly.

6. Your responsibility for accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of every invoice you issue, every job you log, and any data you submit using the Service. We do not check your figures or your tax position. If you make a mistake in an invoice or tax record created in the app, that is your responsibility.

The MTD / HMRC integration is currently a sandbox / review-only feature. Do not rely on it to file live tax returns to HMRC. Live filing is disabled and will remain disabled until HMRC production approval is obtained and a separate notice is posted.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach this section.

8. Intellectual property

The Invoice My Job app, code, design, brand, and content are owned by IDEATOWEB LTD. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own business.

Your invoice content, client data, and job records remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process them so we can provide the Service to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from Settings → Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or fail to pay subscription fees.

On account deletion, your data is erased within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, invoice records for HMRC purposes — kept for 6 years).

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IDEATOWEB LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data. By using the Service you also accept the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you by email. The effective date at the top reflects when the latest version took effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
